Sticky / Tacky Deposit left of Machine Tools
Sticky deposits are usually due to either a coolant splitting, or the cutting fluids inability to cope with tramp oil contamination. Coolants which readily emulsify tramp oil are particularly prone to producing oily deposits.
- Factors such as the biological infection of the metalworking fluid attack the emulsification package, this results in the product splitting back into concentrate and water.
- Another key area concerns the emulsification of tramp oils into poor performance cutting fluids.
